Tokayev and Jensen Huang discuss Kazakhstan’s AI development

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received NVIDIA co-founder and president Jensen Huang on 23 October, according to Akorda. The discussion focused on Kazakhstan’s artificial-intelligence ecosystem and cooperation with technology companies.

Huang highlighted energy resources and people trained in science, mathematics and technology as foundations for AI development. He proposed Kazakhstan as an international hub for Physical AI, which connects models with physical devices and environments.

The statement also refers to cooperation involving Higgsfield, Firebird AI KZ Ltd and Kazakhtelecom. These are the participants’ stated positions; the release does not establish a new joint project’s approved budget or implementation timetable.

Tokayev awarded Huang the Order of Dostyq, first class. For education, the practical issues include skills development and access to computing. Specific programmes and participation terms will require separate confirmation.
