Astana Central Park adds wheelchair-accessible exercise equipment: where to find it
The new outdoor area is designed to let wheelchair users exercise in the park. Here is the location, equipment and what remains to be checked.
Astana has installed outdoor exercise equipment in Central Park that can also be used by people in wheelchairs, the city administration reported on 16 October. The area is between the amphitheatre and The St. Regis Astana hotel.
What is available
The municipality lists a leg-rehabilitation machine, an arm machine and a Bubnovsky crossover. Outdoor exercise matters beyond rehabilitation: an accessible park allows people to take part in ordinary city life alongside everyone else.
The administration has not yet specified opening arrangements, usage guidance or whether an instructor will be present. Anyone recovering from injury or surgery should agree an exercise plan with a clinician. The route to the area, path surface and actual condition of the machines also deserve an on-site check; these details determine whether the new space is genuinely accessible.
