Astana collected ten medals: four gold, three silver and three bronze. Aikorkem Batikhan won gold in both Zhamby and Orta Aziya, plus a silver and a bronze. Nuriddin Shayakhmet took gold in Puta, and Nuralla Orynbasarov in Orta Aziya. Merei Zhumabayeva added a silver and a bronze.
Beyond the medal table
Almaty finished second overall with two gold medals and host region Mangystau third with one. For young archers, traditional disciplines offer more than a ranking: they require precision, composure and mastery of culturally specific sporting rules.
The result shows a living competitive scene in Kazakhstan's traditional archery. The next question for organisers is whether young athletes can train and compete regularly between major championships.
