Shymkent factory capacity and road interchange reviewed during government visit

Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov inspected industrial and road projects in Shymkent on 22 October. According to the government, Wan Sheng Ceramic has reached annual capacity of 12–13 million square metres of porcelain tiles and created 350 permanent jobs.

Asia Trafo presented its transformer manufacturing operations. Following the visits, relevant ministries and the city administration were instructed to support capacity expansion and greater use of industrial-zone sites. These instructions concern further development rather than completed additional production.

At the Baidibek Bi–Tolemetov interchange, the main construction work is complete and the upper level is open to traffic. The lower level is scheduled for completion by year-end. The 8.5-billion-tenge project includes an elevated section, an overpass and three underground pedestrian crossings.
