Abai Region reviews employment and housing allocation

The Abai regional administration reviewed its employment programme and housing provision for socially vulnerable residents, according to an announcement released on 27 October.

Figures presented at the meeting showed that 17,188 people had been placed in work by 21 October, against an annual target of 13,324. Of those, 12,678 obtained permanent jobs and 4,510 temporary jobs. These are placements recorded under the regional employment plan, not the total number of employed residents.

Regional governor Berik Uali instructed officials to strengthen monitoring of employers’ mandatory pension contributions and prepare proposals for the 2027 employment plan. District leaders were also asked to complete housing allocation by 25 November and identify unsafe homes in rural settlements.
